My client, a global provider of integrated communications which employs a suite of leading internet based capabilities and other resources to provide premedia, printing, logistics and business process outsourcing services to leading clients in virtually every private and public sector, is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor for its New York office. Position Summary Manage recruiting process for various functions. Manage employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefit information. Responsibilities Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks. ¿ Partners with hiring managers to recruit candidates for job openings. Coordinates and participates in the entire recruiting process from posting jobs to the first interview and assessment, candidate selection, employment offer and conducting new employee orientation. ¿ Informs and counsels employee and management regarding employee relations issues. Ensures management practices are consistent with all federal, state and local legislation and regulations. ¿ Administers compensation and benefit programs including answering questions, resolving problems and ensuring all documentation is forwarded appropriately. Counsels and advises management on practices. ¿ Delivers training and development plan and may work with vendors to deliver the training. ¿ Promotes and communicates to employees about workplace safety, compliance and ensures all employees have completed mandatory training. May monitor for compliance. ¿ Coordinates and monitors the performance evaluation process for employees. ¿ Recommends, develops, implements and communicates HR policies and procedures. ¿ Creates standard and ad hoc management reports. ¿ Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Job Knowledge & Skills The duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ¿ Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience. Experience in establishing and implementing HR processes is strongly desired. Ability to research, summarize, form conclusions and make recommendations. Able to demonstrates ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job. Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately. Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity. Must have leadership experience. Must have BPO, Business Process Outsourcing Experience. ¿ Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. Prefer knowledge of Peoplesoft and OpenHire systems. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments. Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers. ¿ Additional job requirements may be listed on the staffing requisition.
