Our client is looking for a new member to join their leadership team in the role of Benefits Director. This is a great opportunity to be in a highly visible position in a Corporate Home Office of a customer centric and people driven company. This career opportunity is located between the Greater Milwaukee Area and Chicago and reports directly to the VP, Human Resources. This is a chance to strategically lead the development, implementation, communication, and administration of global benefits including comprehensive retirement, health and welfare programs. Would you like to be the Benefits Guru guiding the policies for our client's amazing employee and retiree base while becoming an integral part of the corporate management team?
Benefits need to be your game as this role includes managing both deferred and supplemental income benefit plans as well as traditional benefit programs. The client is looking for a strategic decision maker who has done plan design and been involved in plan consolidation, M&A activities, or other projects related to growth and change. Your Benefits experience with or consulting to a large organization (2000+ employees) will be an excellent foundation for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Refine current benefit programs and develop strategy to enhance and improve their impact; incorporate future acquisitions * Interact with board directors and senior executives, be the voice of benefits across the organization * Assist in development of company bargaining proposals for employee benefits and analyzing union benefit demands * SOX, ERISA and HIPPA compliance * Manage and negotiate with vendors providing consultation, legal, actuarial, HRIS, and outsourcing services * Pension Fund review * Focus on the bottom line, (able to site clear examples of positive ROI ) * Development of employees * Project management
Ideal Candidate: * People person with great presence and desire to grow in senior leadership roles * 10+ years experience in retirement and health benefit plans * Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and/or Certified Benefit Professional (CBP) preferred * Exposure to a manufacturing or industrial environment and the development of company bargaining proposals * Minimum of 5 years experience mentoring and successfully managing people * Bachelor - s degree required with MBA or advanced degree preferred * Exposure to International benefit plans; Federal and state regulations; HR technology development; Benefit related accounting and regulatory requirements * Excellent communicator, comfortable with written and face-to-face presentations
