Tier 2/3 Application Support

Job Responsibilities
-  Serve as primary support liaison between the company and customers
-  Provide advanced technical telephone application support


-  Answer complex questions on function and usage of software
-  Troubleshoot problems with installing software
-  Resolving conflicts within Windows 2003 Server
-  Make changes to the software registry keys
-  Import Active Directory users into the application
-  Troubleshoot problems arising from improper NTFS file permissions and share permissions
-  Troubleshoot security policies within the software program
-  Troubleshoot software interfacing with mail clients: MS-Exchange, Outlook Express, SMTP, POP3 and MAPI
-  Troubleshoot applications that run on IIS
-  Troubleshoot software interface to MSDE and SQL Server database using SQL Server Enterprise Manager
-  Test ODBC connections, database roles, user and password setup
-  Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, or port assignment issues
-  Troubleshoot software on a Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server, and Windows 2003 Server Platforms
-  Convey customer feedback to manager
-  Possess thorough knowledge of company product line and other applications used by the customers
-  Operates under moderate supervision
-  Resolves clients-   applications questions or problems over the telephone in the areas of system configuration / setup, product functionality and bugs/enhancements
-  Keeps customer informed about how and when problems are resolved
-  Involved in any additional follow-up, testing and troubleshooting
-  Responsible for the appropriate referral to other support and quality assurance areas
-  Promotes and maintains a high quality, professional service-oriented company image among customers

Qualifications:
-  2-4 years experience in networking and server application support
-  Basic NT/2000/2003 or Novell networking knowledge
-  Proficient with Win9x, Win2k, XP and Vista operating systems
-  Knowledge of email and groupware products such as Outlook, Exchange, GroupWise and/or Lotus Notes
-  Proficient PC skills for testing and troubleshooting
-  Strong understanding of IIS
-  Strong SQL Server or Oracle basic database manipulation knowledge
-  Excellent troubleshooting abilities
-  Ability to resolve general application problems via the telephone
