We are looking for an Architect with Java and .NET experience. This is a 2-3 month Contract To Hire position with our client in Nashville, Tennessee. The Architect will be responsible for leading the full life cycle UI design of both new and existing clinical software applications for a leading healthcare company. The Architect will be responsible for meeting with the new clients to gain an understanding of their specific UI design needs, creation of technical design specifications, utilizing UI formal standards, methodologies, heuristics, human factors and best practices to design the new UI architecture, product roadmaps, product strategy and design the interface layer. This includes defining the direction for information presentation of the software modules, navigation, defining guidelines and standards for user interface design and design task flows, detailed page schematics and wire frames, use cases, user interface design, reporting and error definitions, and data exchange file formats. The Architect will partner with application development groups to facilitate the implementation of design changes. REQUIREMENTS: MUST HAVE experience with BOTH: Management of full life cycle Design/Architecture projects (preferably client facing) AND Hands on experience with Design/Architecture projects (including defining the direction for information presentation of the software modules, navigation, defining guidelines and standards for user interface design and design task flows, detailed page schematics and wire frames, use cases, user interface design, reporting and error definitions, and data exchange file formats) Perfect communication skills; the candidate must be able to clearly express technical concepts and detailed software design and scenarios to a variety of audiences, technical and non-technical. This requires skill in written and oral and graphical communication The Architect will play a key role in ensuring that products successfully achieve business objectives with a best-of-class user experience. Will work closely with Business Stakeholders (Management, Product Development) to ensure that web-based products meet business objectives, support the brand and are useful, intuitive and desirable to users. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to create smart, innovative online solutions. Qualifications: 5+ years of .NET and Java Architect level experience. ¿ 5+ year experience in Information Architecture and concept development. At least two years applying these skills to web-based design. ¿ Understanding target audiences¿ needs and other motivating factors and translating them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences. ¿ Planning and executing iterative user research and analysis projects including but not limited to interviews, concept testing, and usability testing and heuristic evaluations. ¿ Leading and/or participating in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing. ¿ Collaboratively developing scenarios, navigation models, and prototypes for demonstration of concepts to stakeholders and project teams. ¿ Developing and documenting detailed information architecture and interaction designs for highly interactive interfaces to support business strategy, marketing strategy, and desired user behaviors. ¿ Serving as an expert consultant during the detailed design phase by reviewing interaction design, copy and visual design for usability best practices. ¿ Project experience in working with teams on large scale, long-term projects. ¿ Familiarity with current user experience and usability research, theories, best practices and methodologies. ¿ Candidates must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques. ¿ Knowledge of web user-interface technology. ¿ Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills. ¿ Excellent verbal and written skills. ¿ Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously. ¿ Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams. ¿ Proficient with design tools including Visio and MS Office Suite.
