C++ Application Analyst

Hudson, a global leader in IT recruitment, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced C++ Application Analyst in the Chicago Loop: In this role, your responsibilities will include: ¿ Focusing on improving the performance of a C++ application ¿ Take an existing code base, gather current performance metrics that will tell them how much time it takes to process inbound market data and then send out our own quote, and come up with recommendation for how to improve the performance. ¿ Work with senior programmers and traders in design, development, and implementation of financial software ¿ Perform related duties as assigned. To be successful in this role candidates should possess: ¿ 2+ years experience as either equity or fixed income derivatives quantitative analyst on the trading desk software (C++ Applications) ¿ Modeling and tool building experience ¿ Very strong working experience in C++ ¿ Ability to creatively solve problems, question assumptions and articulate ideas ¿ Fundamental understanding of numerical modeling and the underlying math ¿ Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high stress environment. ¿ Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document processes and procedures.
