Senior Accountant Principal Responsibilities: ¿¿¿¿Investigate and explain revenue and expense variations and analyze related trends ¿¿¿¿Develop support for expense accruals ¿¿¿¿Control journal entry process, including compilation and support ¿¿¿¿Develop budget support and other financial reports ¿¿¿¿Develop and update departmental policies and procedures; analyze procedures and recommend efficiencies ¿¿¿¿Compile monthly discount and profit margin calculations ¿¿¿¿Assist with the monthly and annual closings ¿¿¿¿Maintain inter-company cash flow schedules ¿¿¿¿Prepare financial statement drafts and develop footnote support for the annual report for the client, subsidiaries and joint ventures ¿¿¿¿Assist on special projects Experience: ¿¿¿¿7 to 10 years of progressive financial reporting and accounting experience, in industry or with a major public accounting firm Knowledge and Skills Required: ¿¿¿¿Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus ¿¿¿¿CPA preferred ¿¿¿¿Strong financial background ¿¿¿¿Proficiency in mainframe accounting systems and applications, JD Edwards preferred ¿¿¿¿Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) ¿¿¿¿Strong analytical and research skills ¿¿¿¿Knowledge of foreign currency accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) preferred ¿¿¿¿Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
