Hudson has been engaged by a global technology firm to identify a highly qualified candidate to lead all direct and indirect procurement activities. Total spend is approximately $500m, primarily in the network and telecom space and to a lesser extent across materials and traditional IT spend.
This position is newly created, and reports directly to the CFO. As such we are looking for professionals who will focus process improvements on savings, are very driven by hard number achievements, build relationships well and are in continuous improvement mode all the time. You will manage a staff of Directors.
Besides an impressive track record of achievement in a senior procurement/vendor management role, you MUST be able to demonstrate technical understanding of network equipment, and considerable interaction with relevant industry vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent etc.
