Job Summary: Individual in this role will be responsible for developing new solutions as well as providing end user support and troubleshooting for multiple sites in a medium sized SharePoint 2007 farm. This individual will interface with IT for set-up and maintenance of SharePoint servers and with business users to analyze requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the MOSS environment. This is an internal full-time position at Hudson.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions for Microsoft SharePoint 2007 platform.
- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting of Dev, QA and Production environments.
- Develop, test and deploy custom development code to the platform servers.
- Apply Service Packs and Updates within a predefined maintenance window.
- Stay abreast of web development methodology and related technologies and recommend future system enhancements, software purchases or system upgrades.
- Provice technical input to assist in development of project plans through detailed work.
- Be able to multitask several competing requests by gathering or estimating task priorities.
Candidate Qualification Requirements: qualified candidates must
- Have at least 5+ years of total professional IT experience and 3+ years of practical hands-on SharePoint experience including: (1) Customizing the SharePoint Look and Feel using Master Pages, Cascasing Style Sheets and SharePoint Designer; (2) Developing, debugging and deploying custom Lists, Web Parts, and Workflows using Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer; (3) Implementing Infopath forms and workflow.
- Be able to lead the technical implementation of SharePoint 2007 projects and have experience with rolling out an Intranet or Internet site built on Microsoft SharePoint technologies with limited resources for a medium size company.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well with others in a collaborative manner with minimum supervision.
- Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture. Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong overall understanding of Microsoft SharePoint technologies including SharePoint Architecture, Object Model, Configuration settings, Backup and maintenance and Permission and Security model.
- Experience with creating and designing Web User Interfaces for web applications as well as customizing SharePoint Look and Feel with custom solutions.
- Knowledge and experience working with the following technologies: (1) ASP, HTML, Java Script, CSS; (2) C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET; (3) WSS and MOSS 2007; (4) Transact SQL, SQL Server
- Experience with Object Oriented Design and Development using Visual Studio .NET.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems an web-site management.
- Ability to prioritize tasts, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimum supervision.
- Ability to define, create and complete a technical tast without a great deal of guidance.
- Must be capable of working flexible hours sometimes under pressure of aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate task status clearly and meet dealines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members working remotely from various US and global locations.
- Must have a strong technical foundation and strong problem solving skills.
- This role is a fast paced multi faceted post that requires a flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated developer who relishes a challenge.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Professional training on Microsoft SharePoint 2003 and/or 2007.
