We have been engaged by our client to recruit their Upstream Product Manager. Our client is a leading medical device manufacturer located in Minneapolis. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of marketing experience coupled with engineering experience within the medical device industry. This role will be responsible for managing the product development efforts within the business unit as well as developing implementing and measuring global product marketing programs.
Responsibilities:
• Create, communicate and gain approval for annual marketing plan; implement and adjust accordingly.
• Contribute to strategic planning process; prepare annual and five year forecasts. • Monitor and adjust forecast according to market conditions. • Develop and communicate global pricing plans.
• Process new product ideas.
• Develop market research objectives and studies to support initiatives and product proposals. • Analyze complex interrelated market data and draw conclusions regarding future opportunities.
• Utilize statistical analysis of market trends.
• Develop and modify forecast based on market knowledge.
• Provide initiatives for sales and marketing plans. • Influence decision making process.
• Provide consistent and objective market information for new product and acquisition teams.
• Act as liaison with field sales organization and sales management for market planning and implementation.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree.
• MBA preferred.
• 3-5 years of marketing experience within the medical device industry.
• 2-3 years of engineering experience within the medical device industry.
• Ability to travel 30-50%.
• Strategic planning experience a plus.
