Senior Project Manager opportunity in Dallas,TX

Hudson is looking for a Sr.Project manager for fulltime opportunity. THE POSITION: The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the VP of Information Technology and will be responsible for managing multiple strategic IT projects to support the business stake holders throughout the Company. This position will manage key projects as well as introduce best practice project management and change management methodology to Client¿s PMO. As part of introducing these methodologies, the Project Manager would be responsible for training other IT personnel on the new processes as well as providing mentorship and guidance. The right candidate will possess excellent communications skills and exhibit emotional maturity under pressure. As the ¿right hand person¿ to the VP of Information Technologies they must provide regular updates as to the progress or delays on projects that are in need of his attention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ¿ Manage multiple strategic IT projects ¿ Implement a best practice Project Management methodology ¿ Implement a best practice Change Management methodology ¿ Train and mentor the PMO and other required IT staff on these methodologies and tools ¿ Mentor inexperienced IT staff on project management best practices ¿ Provide guidance to the IT team on setting expectations for project milestones ¿ Holding team members accountable for milestones and deadlines communicated to the business stake holders ¿ Recommend tools and processes that could help Client meet it¿s overall objectives REQUIREMENTS ¿ Ideal candidate will have at least 7 years proven experience as an IT Project Manager for mid to large size enterprise environments and possess technical expertise in AS400, Microsoft Platforms and sales force automation ¿ Must have deep knowledge of best practice project and change management methodologies ¿ Must possess emotional maturity and the ability to handle stressful situations ¿ Must be willing and able to train and mentor others that are either inexperienced or resistant to change ¿ Excellent written and oral communication skills ¿ Ability to present to and communicate well with senior executives ¿ Bachelors degree required ¿ PMI certification is not required but desired
