We are looking for a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent position with a telecommunications company in Redwood City, CA. Responsibilities Our client is looking for an experienced and articulate Business Development Manager to generate new revenue from new customers and to manage customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction to increase additional sales revenues. This position, based in our Redwood City office, will be required to generate sales leads to develop new sources of revenue from corporate customers. Develop and maintain active leads in sales funnel monthly; meet with new customers monthly; and provide new sales quotations monthly. Key responsibilities will be to maintain all stages of the sales cycle including developing leads through cold-calling, qualifying prospects, customized proposal development, contract negotiation, and project implementation. Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in Telecom Data Sales, minimum 3 years corporate sales experience in International Telecom (Asia-Pacific) with major carriers, proven track record at achieving/exceeding measurable sales quotas through cold-calling, prospecting professionals and qualifying opportunities. Proven ability to develop new sales leads and opportunities using creative resources including but not limited to cold-calling, research and networking. Experience in selling to the Fortune 1000 accounts, and management of complex sales cycle. Must be a strong team player, interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills and demonstrated ability to build/maintain customer relationships. Prefer Bachelor's Degree with strong analytic, problem solving, contract negotiation and closing skills. Knowledge of Siebel sales prospecting & tracking software is a plus. Technical Skills Required Knowledge of Data Communication products and services, including Wide Area Network (WAN) Technologies (MPLS, Ethernet, VPLS, EVPL) and Managed Hosting Services.
