DIRECTOR, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND STAFFING

LOCATION:             Tampa, Florida

REPORTS TO:          VP, Human Resources

REPORTS:                 Four direct plus a staff of eight indirect reports.

THE MANDATE:

The Director, Employee Relations and Staffing will be a visionary leader who thrives on the strategic and tactical aspects of conceiving, designing and implementing programs and processes.  This thought leader will flourish in an environment which is undergoing significant business growth and cultural transformation. Accountable to institute leading edge programs around branding, on-boarding, rewards and recognition, recruiting, etc., the ideal candidate will have proven success in recommending and implementing industry best practices designed to meet vital organizational needs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 10 years broad-based employee relations and staffing/recruitment experience including proven management/ leadership experience ideally gained at corporate headquarters and in a multi-site service environment.

• Proven success as a thought leader and integral driver in the creation, design and implementation of critical employee relations and recruitment initiatives and strategies.


• Strong working knowledge and practical interpretation of state and federal employment laws including the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO and, immigration. 


• Excellent communication skills, personal initiative with strong consultative, time management and prioritization skills. 


• BA/BS degree in a related business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.  PHR and or SPHR designation a plus.
